The Noblemen were able to help a young boy battling a very rare disorder. Zeke Caalim suffers from a very rare condition called Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Zeke, who is now three years old is allergic to almost every single type of food. Because he cannot eat anything he is forced to take a nutritional supplement several times daily. The supplement costs his family over $2500 a month after insurance. Zeke's condition also causes him to break out in severe rashes. He and his family make regular trips to and from John's Hopkins University so that he can undergo various tests and treatments. The Noblemen were delighted to help ease some of the family's burden by writing them a check for $2500 to help with medical expenses. Click here to see a story that aired on channel 3 news about Zeke.

Sierra Gleason is a 7 year old girl who is deaf. She was born prematurely and suffered severe hearing loss as a result. Sierra has surgically implanted hearing devices called Cochlear Implants which are able to provide some sense of sound to patients who are profoundly deaf. Sierra was recently accepted into the St. Joseph School for the Deaf in Missouri but her family does not have enough money to relocate and move. The Noblemen were honored to step in and provide the Gleason family with $3000 so that they could move. Good luck Sierra!

The Noblemen have been long time supporters of Young Life Capernaum of Hampton Roads, a local organization that works with middle and high school aged kids who have disabilities. The Noblemen gifted our friends at Young Life Capernaum with $1000 to help fund their annual "Stroll and Roll" fundraising campaign!

The Noblemen are often introduced to families who are enduring trying times. This was the case with a local woman we met who was in a shelter with her three children after experiencing a horrible domestic violence situation. One of her children is autistic and another suffers from scoliosis and recently went through fusion surgery. The family was struggling to get back on their feet and get out of the shelter. The Noblemen were able to provide $1000 in assistance to help pay for some of the children's ongoing medical bills.

The Peninsula Noblemen have started an annual tradition of taking great local kids from "An Achievable Dream Academy" out for a "Kid's Fishing Tournament". The group headed out on the "Sally T" and had a great day of fishing that the kids and their new Noble friends will not soon forget. Everybody caught a fish! Great job Peninsula Noblemen!

One of the most wonderful stories of the year happened for us recently. The Noblemen have been longtime supporters and friends of "Team Hoyt VB" and met a wonderful little girl named Ainsley Rossiter rides in races (in a special racing wheelchair) while her twelve year old sister Briley. Briley has recently written an animated children's book called "Born an Angel" about her experience having a sister with special needs and what it is like to push Ainsley in running races. The book has been nationally published and Briley's goal and dream is to have a copy of the book in every elementary school in the United States. As with any dream one must take the first step. The Noblemen wanted to help Ainsley get a copy of the book into every elementary school in Hampton Roads. With the help of Pete Reuss, a longtime Noblemen member we were able to acquire a grant from Scott and Stringfellow and BB&T as part of their annual "Lighthouse Project". We could not be any more proud to have played a role in helping Briley and Ainsley take the first step towards their dream. You can purchase your copy of "Born an Angel" today by clicking here!
